problem of missing persons and the role of NKC"HI-92"

of September the head of office ICRC in Nagorno-Karabakh Mrs. Mireille
Besnard visited office of NKC"HI-92". Coordinator of NKK"HI-92"
Karen Ohanjanyan and his deputy Ellada Sahakyan presented Mireille
Besnard the projects which are implemented and implementing by NKC"HI-92"
office.
The
head of ICRC in NK was interested in the problem of missing persons
and the role of NKC"HI-92" in this case. Representatives
of NKC"HI-92" told about the activity of organization in
this field, about history of this humanitarian problem from 1992 till
now. More attention was made on Yellow Tulips project. They told the
guest about partners of the project and donors and also about forthcoming
activities in the frame of Yellow Tulips project.
They paid attention to the forthcoming training with the relatives
of missing persons which could be done by Georgian partners in October.
Mireiile Besnard expressed her wish to take part at this meeting.
She
especially interested in psychological rehabilitation activity of
NKC"HI-92", experience of the organization and asked to
cooperate with ICRC in this issue, because ICRC also will start to
work in the field of psychological rehabilitation of the relatives
of missing persons.
An
agreement was achieved to represent the activity of ICRC in NK at
the NKC"HI-92" office in front of the relatives of missing
persons. Karen Ohanjanyan invited Mrs. Mireille Besnard to become
a guest of one of the Friday Night Activity.
In
the end of discussion we expressed our willingness to cooperate with
each other on a permanent base.
